Sharing flavors is a journal celebrating the grace of seasonal foods. I wish to honor the gifts of the sun, the land and the ever teaching garden. I love to cook and find delight in combining flavors for beauty, vitality and tasty nourishment. I often wish I could share food with dear ones far away. Sharing ideas, recipes and inspirations about food and love is what this journal is all about! Let's wildcraft and cultivate and experiment together, making creatively inspired simple foods. I share with joyful thanks!

Nourishing the dreamers

-->
Food grown and prepared with awareness, appreciation and prayerfulness nourishes in deep ways. I consider the kitchen/hearth a sacred place. The garden is too! Everything tastes better with Love.
Choosing seasonal fresh and local foods will support your well being and the well being of your community. Eating wild foods enlivens our own wildness. The resilience and vitality in these support our own vitality and adaptability. I believe eating flowers helps us embody the qualities of the flowers. What we eat we become. We can thank our food for becoming us.
I dream of a world where all people are reconnected to the land as the source of their food and community, where all people participate in their food sourcing and preparation beyond shopping at anonymous large stores and other "convenience" centers. I envision a world where ideas and resources are shared and everyone has enough to eat and access to fresh clean water.
A pause in gratitude for all the beings who touched the foods that we are about to consume, and all those we share it with, acknowledges the web of connections. Awareness makes the weave stronger. What we hold as sacred becomes real food for our bodies and souls.
